Proud to Partner with the St. Sebastian Sports ProjectThe Saint Sebastian Sports Project (SSSP) is a nonprofit that supports sports programs in Catholic schools, especially in underserved communities, by providing financial aid and resources. Their work includes funding for equipment, coaching, and league fees, as well as offering coaching clinics, tournaments, camps, and leadership programs. Named after the patron saint of athletes, SSSP aims to promote physical fitness, academic success, and personal growth while building community and leadership skills among students.

The Saint Sebastian Sports Project, is a 501 © (3) non-profit organization working to level the playing fields for student athletes in underserved Catholic schools in the Los Angeles Archdiocese.
Our mission: to give every child – regardless of family income – the chance to learn the skills, experience the growth, and share in the joy of participating in a school sports team.
Founded in 2009, we currently provide resources and offer special programs to support sports teams in 60 inner city Catholic Schools in Los Angeles. Since inception, we have enabled more than 10,000 children to benefit from the life-changing experience of playing on a sports team.

MEET THE SAINT SEBASTIAN SPORTS PROJECT...Supporting Catholic Schools Through SportsWHO ARE WE?The Saint Sebastian Sports Project is non-profit, founded in 2009 that supports the sports programs at 80Catholic schools in the LA Archdiocese to give every school child in the Los Angeles Archdiocese thechance to learn the skills, experience the growth, and share in the joy of participating in a school sportsteam.WHAT DO WE DO? Help fund equipment, uniforms and team fees for 80 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese Host clinics to make sure kids are receiving quality coaching Hold tournaments to give teams that don’t normally qualify for post-season play the thrill of competingin a championship Score tickets to UCLA, USC games and other local sporting events Hold a Leadership Academy for outstanding high school bound 8 th gradersWHO ARE OUR PARTNERS?We have partnered with a number of like-minded organizations to expand our reach and deepen our impact. Fit Kids- provides a comprehensive physical education curriculum to every SSSP school The Science of Sport—hosts an annual field day to teach STEM subjects through sports LA84- provides coaching stipends for our schools Smart & Final—offers annual grants for uniforms and equipmentWHAT ARE THE RESULTS?Numerous studies have established the positive effects of exercise among children and teens. SSSP schoolsreport higher attendance rates for students who play sports. Student athletes also achieve higher grades and tendto go on to play sports in high school.
